What is Alumier Peel?
Chemical peels cause intentional damage to the epidermis and / or dermis with the goal of stimulating new tissue to improve skin texture and tone.
Chemical peels have been used dating back to Ancient Egypt. Cleopatra used sour milk to improve the appearance of her skin, according to some sources. Lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) is the active ingredient in sour milk.
Lazeo use Alumier products, to improve skin texture and firmness, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. Peels also even out skin tone, improve acne-prone skin and reduce pore size appearance.
We offer a selection of superficial to medium depth peels known for their excellent results and safety profile. We believe in repeated treatments for progressive and gradual results, and to avoid the side effects and downtime associated with deeper peels.
When peels are performed regularly, the skin gets used to this process and begins to rejuvenate itself like younger skin. To be sure that the body doesn’t react to this deep exfoliation as it would to trauma, which can lead to pigment changes, exfoliation must be introduced gradually giving the skin time to adjust.
Indications for Alumier Peel
Peel treatments improve skin texture and firmness, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. Peels also even out skin tone, improve acne-prone skin and reduce pore size appearance.
The initial consultation will determine the type of peel used and how many layers during the treatment will be needed.
The skin is cleansed, and a preparation mask may be used if appropriate.
The peel is applied all over the face and left to work its magic for approximately 1 minute, or until the tingling sensation is no longer felt. The next layer is applied and the process is repeated up to 4 times.
The sensation of the peel is a progressively warm, tingling feeling.
Recovery balm is applied to cool the skin once the peel is complete.
Peels can be performed on the face, neck, decollete, back and hands.
After the treatment
You will receive a post-procedure kit containing specialised face wash and recovery balm which should be used exclusively for the first few days after the treatment to allow the skin to recover. No other products should be used at this time. Oxygenetix makeup is recommended if coverage is needed.
Immediately after the treatment the skin may be red and feel tender. Recovery balm should be applied to soothe the skin as no discomfort should be felt.
The skin may peel off, and in these areas recovery balm should be applied frequently. Exfoliation, other products, peeling of the skin, and sun exposure are not advised.
Beautiful skin doesn’t happen overnight. A single chemical peel can provide the immediate effect of bright and radiant skin. However, more significant results in treating textural issues, fine lines and inflamed acne take time.
